Mr. Smith has worked with MetraPark over the past twenty years beginning with the development of MetraPark’s long range masterplan, design of the multipurpose livestock Expo Center, and numerous other facilities. More recently, Mr. Smith led a design team including IBI Placemaking, McCarty Holsaple McCarty Architects, CT and Perkins and Will Architects to totally renovate and expand the 10,000 seat Rimrock Arena (now named the First Interstate Arena). Currently Mr. Smith’s team is finalizing a new masterplan to expand the Livestock/Expo Center, enhance the existing arena and design a second arena to accommodate additional livestock events.
